Holly AllenCooper was born and educated in London UK and moved
to New York to attend The Cooper Union where she graduated with a BFA
in Fine Art. She continues to live and work in both cities, the thread
of migration also underlying her work.

'My work explores the concept of the disregarded from the perspective
of the unseen or distanced. Through sculptural and photographic processes
I look to capture fleeting pathways, documenting unseen journeys and
mapping lost movement. These observations evolve into a commentary
on personal hierarchies of memory and place, continually fluctuating and
being revised, overlapping what has gone before.'

As a designer, Holly investigated adapting sculptural techniques to make
small sculptures in the form of jewelry in steel and porcelain, leading
in 2013 to co-founding a designer/maker studio and online store - The Design Museum in London stocks
her ‘Toolbox’ pendants in their shop and online.
